Cystic Fibrosis Case Study
This assignment was intended as a written assignment for missed clinical time. I wrote the case based on real-life experiences with kids with cystic fibrosis and the students who've completed it state they feel like CF experts. Although it's lengthy, students often feel good about themselves and their knowledge once they've completed it--this warms my educator's heart!
Below are two examples of completed assignments with the comments I've written to students. I feel commenting on a student's work is imperative. As an educator, I have to show students hard work is valued and worthy of feedback. I feel my positive comments build initiative, autonomy, industry, and self-actualization in students. I often use comments as an another opportunity to teach as well, clarifying misunderstood points and extending and deepening thought with provocative questions. |
